40 Hours in This Beast

For the better half of a good week or so, I've spent a good portion of my time playing Fallout: New Vegas and I must say that I am quite impressed with what Obsidian has been able to accomplish. I was like others and doubted this game without even playing it first because at the time, to me, there was no way New Vegas could ever top Fallout 3. Boy was I wrong!

Without getting into specifics, Fallout: New Vegas offers you a ton of unique ways to handle tough situations. It isn't as black and white as Fallout 3. In Fallout 3, your dialogue options are limited to "THIS IS THE GOOD CHOICE" and "THIS IS THE BAD CHOICE." In Fallout New Vegas, every choice seems like a combination of the two. More so, there isn't one main evil in Fallout: New Vegas. In Fallout 3, the Enclave were the big bad guys. In Fallout New Vegas, you make your own enemies. The "big bad guys" are whoever you want them to be based on your actions in-game. It isn't as linear as Fallout 3, either. Overall it's just a better game and I am glad I went back to give it a chance. I know @GregoryRasputin likes this game a lot and now I see why.

I think it's on Steam sale right now so if you have a PC that can handle it, get it.

Fallout New Vegas is indeed a good game I loved it more than Fallout 3 as well
I just love some of the ****ed up aspects in it :D

Its also the old Fallut 1+2 guys that made New Vegas... Which to me is nice.

I for once though, kinda missed some of the enclaves presence, granted their involvement in their story and that they were the main villains in F2.

Well think yourself lucky you are playing it all patched up because when I was playing it random NPCs would fall from the sky to their untimely demise, glitch through the scenery and all sorts of odd things would occur, there was even bugs that stopped you from completing critical plot missions and required a complete restart. (on 360 atleast)

I liked the game but without a doubt Fallout 3 was my personal favourite.

Most of the time, yes. I also giggled at your edit reason. I think the real question is, are you serious?

Of course. I have a blast playing this game with all of the bug fixes and such by the modding community. I even have mods that remove those annoying invisible walls that exist in various places for no reason. I feel a little sorry for console players.

Patches has fixed many/most of those bugs.. atleast the serious ones. Also on the console versions

Oh, I miss that bug, where radscorpions under the earth was chasing me.. that was so ****ed up... Radscorpions were under the ground and only their brood was above it, so they could still attack me...

Also, I recall I experienced this one once :D Fallout Spinning Head Glitch - YouTube that was kinda ****ed up and creepy... But yea, great game.

I ****ing love post apocalypic, steam-punk and cyber-punk settings.. ****ing love. Fallout is great Glad to hear you agree
