Now I have DIA-002 with Samsung K8Q2815UQB chip.
I can not dump this chip correctly: all dumps have different MD5.
I try dump with all NORway versions (0.3,0.4b9,b10,b12)
3 GND pionts soldered.
Teensy resoldered twice.

Usually chip manufacturer and type detects correctly, but sometimes chip manufacturer and/or type are "unknown".

Any Ideas?

I Patched your flash files with norpatch and got different results to yours, i patched mine with the core_os file as this what worked first time for me after spending a day flashing and erasing!!

here is your patched (by me) flash http://www.4shared.com/file/yNkKsYmy/newflash.html

After i flashed it, enter service mode with a dongle (jig, psgrade), put lv2diag.self (file1) together with a PS3UPDAT.PUP (Rogero_CFW_V2_Kmeaw_LV1_Patched_3.72_spoof_Privacy_Patch renamed to PS3UPDAT.PUP) in the root folder on a stick, let it update(it will take a while!!) then put lv2diag.self (file2) on the stick, power up and leave service mode.

Hope this helps!!

oh yeah, i have dumped my patched nor and have same md5 as my original patched file.
C:\123>norpatch.exe 1.bin CORE_OS_PACKAGE.bin uuskatse.bin
norpatch.exe v3.72 - Verify/Patch PS3 NOR flash dumps [(c) judges@eEcho.com]

PRG0 version is 3.50
PRG1 version is 3.55
PKG0 version is unknown
PKG1 version is unknown
ROS0 version is 3.70
ROS1 version is 3.70
CORE_OS_PACKAGE version is OFW 3.55

Try this method.

I get my first "metldr.2" slim console.
It is cech-2508B data code 1B with Samsung K8P2716.
It writes fine with NORway v0.4b10, but after downgrade it just turns off.

Are you patching your original dump or a fresh one?
Are you using the jig and self files once you have flashed firmware back, if so have a look at the log file it will have generated on the usb stick might give you some clues.

This method didn't work for me, i just used norpatch with modified core_os and rogero firmware and then followed from step 6 of that tut.

you only need to patch it once,maybe your over patching it.
ok stole this from the other link, pretty much what i did.
after flashing firmware into ps3,

Step 7: Turn on the PS3 but do not press anything. Wait 1 minute or so, and remove power from the PS3 - we need to put it into factory service mode.

Step 8: Format a FAT32 thumb-drive and place the following files on it.

* usb:\\Lv2diag.self (Get this file from the Lv2Diag-patch-par-Jaicrab.zip archive – ‘\Lv2Diag-patch-par-Jaicrab\STEP1\Lv2diag.self’)
* usb:\\PS3UPDAT.PUP (Rename 355checkoff.PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP)

Step 9: Plug the thumb-drive with the files from step 8 into the right-most USB port on the PS3.

Step 10: Boot the PS3 into Factory Service Mode (see other guides on how to achieve this)

Step 11: Wait for the PS3 to power off automatically (this should take somewhere between 10-20 minutes)

Step 12: Remove the USB from the right-most USB port on the PS3.

Step 13: Power on the PS3 – you should now see the XMB.

Step 14: Shutdown the PS3 again.

Step 15: Replace the first stage Lv2diag.self with the second stage Lv2diag.self on the thumb-drive and re-plug the thumb-drive into the right-most USB port on the PS3.

* usb:\\Lv2diag.self (Get this file from the Lv2diag_355.rar archive – ‘\\Lv2diag_355\Archivo 2\Lv2diag.self’)
* usb:\\PS3UPDAT.PUP (Keep from before)

Step 16: Power on the PS3 - Wait for the PS3 to power off automatically (this should take somewhere between 10-20 seconds)

Step 17: Remove the USB from the right-most USB port on the PS3.

Step 18: Boot the PS3 and enjoy your 3.55 CFW No Check by dospiedra (equivalent to 3.55 CFW by kweaw)
