is there a NANDway tut coming? looks like some of the info on github was revised in a better to understand format but im still confused by a few things. ill be trying the voltage regulator first to see if that works on COK-001 so my teensy is all setup for that:
1.flash NANDway.hex
2.do the steps in NORway to detect what port its running on?
3. get python and pyserial for nor only or nand too?
4.dump

any advice?

hi judges i need some help with NANDway ive got most of the stuff i need

pyserial python teensy.exe NANDway.hex usb serial

when I open cmd and type NANDway.py it says traceback <most recent call last> NANDway not defined my teensy is on COM7 but i cant figure out how to get to the help section. im guessing I need a an extra file for python or something? any help would rock. ps will you be making a tut soon ive seen the nor tut but the nand info and dowloads is really lacking so im struggling bigtime anyways thanks for your time!!

Please post your questions to the teensy thread. It might help others..

It's not the "Pyhton (command line)" you should start, but a windows cmd window...

-- judges same thing happens any ideas?

@judges

Hello judges,
I'm writing you for a question relating about my first post on this page:

http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php...kmyday&page=71

I think it's very important knowing this aspect and correct if necessary deleting my post.
in that post I wrote that you need make the short with the 5v pad,
instead of on 3v pad,
I think it's important that I'll explain why I said this:
When I did this has happened by chance due to an my error,
I was trying to follow the guidance of CrackmyDay, where he used an image of a teensy1 to give an example on how to make, 3v pad short,
the problem is that compared to teensy1,
it seems that on teensy2 ,
3v and 5v pads are reversed,
and I had not noticed this,
what confused me was the fact that CrackmyDay had used the image of the 3.3v regulator published by PJRC store, but the strange thing is that
if I do the short on the 3v pad,
and cutting the track on 5v pad of teensy2 ,
Norway does not work properly with me,
or at least this happens on DYN-001,
I have to do necessarily what I described in my post to which I referred,
if I do the short on 3v pad and cut the 5v pad track,
following your instructions to do the procedure,
using norway-04beta12,
arrived in mid readings NOR samsung K8Q2815UQB,
ps3 with DYN-001,
beeps 3 times,
red LED flashes intermittently,
but the reading of the NOR continues until the end,
after... just turn off the ps3 and then turn on this again to return to normal,
but checking then the dump done, this is correct only half.
I do not need clarification for me,
to make sure I do it right, I just do what I've always done,
but I would not, that what I have written, may cause confusion for others,
I hope I was understandable for you,
and that I was right to want to clarify this

@DebugBrain : I guess you're referring to this post: http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p...&postcount=710

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say here, but you're running Teensy at 5V (like you described in your first post) and it's working for you. Great!

Hello judges,
I can confirm that the use of Norway_04beta12,
is capable of operating, also to SUR-001 with Spansion NOR motherboards, fueling the NOR Teensy2 + + by setting this to 5V,
it works well also fueling the NOR 3V,
but in both cases I have to unplug the power cord immediately after turning on the ps3, and after connecting the USB cable to Teensy2,
Nothing new but I want to specify that this method is suitable for Ps3 briked that, after a few seconds, it turns off.
as soon as I can, I want to try this with later versions of Norway

Ah, now I got why you're doing the "immediately connect Teensy after turning on PS3".. You're using v4beta12. That version still contained the tristate bug, so that tristate wasn't set correctly.

You might wanna update your version once in a while..

Latest beta (v0.6): https://github.com/hjudges/NORway/zipball/master

Just connect Teensy to usb and power on your console. Then you can dump. Or you now remove the power cord and you'll be using crackmydays method. Running Teensy at 5V should be the last resort.
