Okay that helped a lot thanks, I found my motherboard, downloaded the diagrams and got to map out where I would have to solder on the Progskeet, but just one more question (thanks for all the help BTW) When you disassemble the PS3 to get to the motherboard is there a way to still see the motherboard without reassembling it. Thank you for all the help again.

see the whole motherboard is impossible i think. because you have to put your fan and heatsink back to the board, connect the psu, blueray drives and hdd.
but when i connected my teensy++ to my ps3, i set it upside down, so i can see the connection i made and the whole bottom of the board.

Okay that makes better sense, and I was just wondering in your opinion is the Progskeet or the Teensy++ better, cost wise and size wise, because I was wondering if they fit right on top of the motherboard with the PS3 all closed up.

they both are good device to dump/flash, and fit on your PS3.
but since teensy++ haven't supported samsung's NOR yet, it depends on your type of flash memory. if you have samsung/macronix NOR, i think you should buy a progskeet which have more compatibility than Teensy++, for now.

i have 1 CECHL console with Spansion chip, and i used Teensy++ permanently on that. but i also have 1 CECH2xxx in RSOD (which i tried to recover) with samsung NOR flash, so i ordered Progskeet to use with it.

Yea I have a CECH-2001A the 120g, are there any unnecessary parts that don't need to be put back in so you can get to the Progskeet easier.
