Thanks . My steps: 1.copy the blue-ray movie to the ps3 internal HDD(20GB+ and not a BD-J disc) 2.set Hermes in BD-ROM Emulator (require restart ps3) ![]() 3.select the movie and press X to load ![]() 4.select No ![]() 5.select Yes ![]() 6.So i can see the film icon ![]() 7.but can not play ![]() 8.and i'm into the multiMAN,then press the PS botton ,the folder mounted as a BD-rom ![]() and about 80029906 sony said

This function is not working yet.
When you're prompted to convert the structure to AVCHD (step 4) - choose YES. Then it will require a usb/ms/sdhc connected to your PS3 (with 22KB free) and then you can play the blu-ray movie from XMB VIDEO column, but not from the disc icon, but from the USB/MS/SDHC icon -> AVCHD. Since you said the disc has no java, it will play just like the original. Dean Last edited by deank; 09-04-2011 at 01:48 AM. |

You said it is not a BD-J disc, so the AVCHD method will work.

I have the back up of Star Trek on internal hdd and the original disc of The Incredible Hulk.
So i did the same thing but instead of the backup, the disc played. What I don't get is that you can emulate the bd-rom for games but you can't do the same thing for blu-ray movies. |

It was supposed to play the backup but as i said, it launched the disc.
It doesn't matter whether it has java or not. You can't play the bdmv after you've mounted it. Devs need to find a way to mount bd isos or play bdmv like cobra usb does. |

I said - transfer to internal, allow multiMAN to convert it to AVCHD and PLAY IT. It works for me for 4 years already (avchd).
