That is because BD mirror is broken

Would you recommend the Cobra USB for people that don't have a BC PS3? I'm having a hard time tracking down a BC PS3 that has 3.55 or lower FW on it.

They have updated the page with 3.1:

Cobra Firmware 3.1 is out, minor release to fix bugs.

- Fixed stability problems. Cobra users are advised to update to this firmware as soon as possible.

- Fixed compatibility issue with Mortal Kombat.

- Fixed PAL/NTSC issues in psx games.

- Bugfix: some few specific psx titles such as Langrisser Final Edition wouldn't play in other regions.

- Fixed a possible discless bug under very rare circumstances.

- Cobra USB Manager can now understand the ".001, .002, ..." name convention used by hjsplit and other similar programs and rename them automatically to
".0, .1", name convention. Users can use hjsplit or any other similar tool to split iso files in the PC.

- Added functionality to the core to implement a cobra firmware updater in the PS3.

I have been experimenting with 3.1 and 3.2 over the last few hours and I'm very pleased with my findings.

I can confirm that ALL of the issues apart from the loading of the Rayman 2 beta level upon completion of the game with obtaining more than 90% of the 800 lums, have been resolved.

This includes games such as GTA: San Andreas, Gran Turismo 4, The Getaway and even the removal of the weird graphical glitches during the loading of Rayman 2: Revolution NTSC on a PAL console.

Great work Cobra!

Hopefully even more people will purchase this amazing product.

Update:

I have also tested the new features such as region free original PS2 discs, CD-Rs, DVD-Rs, out-of-region PSX games including PAL, NTSC and NTSC-J games and all have tested successfully.

This product is awesome and the support they are providing with good customer service and updates is fantastic.

Buy people! These guys deserve it!

Thanks for your constant analysis, Persian McLovin. This is one of two (ReBug) on the list of CFW to switch from Kmeaw.

No worries dude, glad people are getting use out of it. I love this product but it still has its flaws which are so annoyingly small that I don't care for them that much such as the product itself is brilliant. Their updating application however is complete crap at times and maybe it's just in my case but ever since I updated to 3.2 and I want to boot PS1 games after selecting them in Cobra Manager, the XMB takes around 20 seconds to load which is a bit odd.

These guys are as you said, one of the few good things about the current state of the PS3 scene...unlike that cancer-spreading attention seeking **** Matheiulh.

Peace.

Update: One of the reasons I love this dongle is not just for its features but the support of the team that have produced it as I no longer have any issue when going to the XMB now thanks to their 3.3 firmware update which was specifically to solve that problem. Thanks again Cobra.

Would the mods be so kind as to remove that really weird spam please? Thank you.

Oh and to update this thread/review, Cobra have added PSP support to this already amazing product so all the critics/trolls can seriously go choke on one.

I personally have only tested Burnout Dominator as I happened to have an ISO of it already and it works brilliantly, these guys are awesome.
