Very thorough and simple guide to follow. I am surprised how many times the same basic questions are asked and answered in this thread; especially people with fw 3.55+ trying to apply this guide.

I have a really dumb question, i have a 3.55 jb ps3 80gb with Kmeaw and blackbox. But in ur tuturial the youtube link you have that shows how to use blackbox, the guy edits his game and goes online..... how does that work? i thought jb didnt have psn access? is there a way to install just blackbox on ur ps3? or keep blackbox after un jb?

i have the fat ps3 and the system software is 4.11

Okay, I'm new here.. not new to some modding & hacking

this is my 1st. try at this due to the fact i got my 1st ps3 the other day......

my PS3 info:
Fat or Slim: Slim
Firmware: 4.11
Model #: CECH-3001B


I want to downgrade the firmware on it, but every time i try to via your guide and by the video it comes up saying the file is "Corrupted (8002F2C5)", i tried re-downloading the 3.55 firmware 2 times, did drag & drop, made the folders myself, did that "safely" remove stuff

i go Recover mode>System Update than i get the error, if thats not where i go than i am sorry, i am a noob at the PS3 stuff...... i still have a FAT PS2 lol

Your ps3 is the 3000 model. You cannot downgrade that model... Sell it and buy the 2500 and under models, those are possible to downgrade.
