Problems with the NAT

Ok so i read the forum that PIRATE provided. I did everything there. I opened ports, assigned my computer and ps3 a static ip, etc. But this didnt work for me. I did everything he said and my NAT is still at type 3. I use a Linksys WRT54GS WIRELESS router. I dont want to use DMZ because i dont want to expose my router to the internet. So if its possible, can someone please guide me, step by step to help me get my router to type 2? Thanks alot.

DMZ it, you wont expose it to the internet you expose your PS3 to the internet, and I am 99.9% sure you dont need to worry about trojans on ps3

(DMZ your PS3 local IP, not main PC)

Also did you disable the firewall on your router?
