Great mod, looks good. good tutorial too, does it work the same if you have something plugged into the usb port you soldered the wires to?

I actually didn't check to see what happens when something is plugged into that port. I whipped that up before I had to go to work. I will check when I get home.

Lol, I can't believe I didn't even think about it. I have something in mind that would hopefully remedy the problem should it exist Will be checking it out as soon as I am done work.

Plugging in another USB device will likely result in both not working. You might have some success in cutting the D+ and D- Traces (the two in the middle) and soldering a cheap hub in between them.
