No. No it doesn't.

The Cell doesn't have cores, it has SPE's. Each one is basically a mini processor, and, depending on the developer, can be used to run separate tasks [Such as Physics, AI, and weather patterns.] [This is pretty much why people have said it's hard to develop for, AND why ports from the 360 to the PS3 have been poor.]

The 360's processor, however, does all the work by itself. It has 3 cores, but they aren't used to run things individually, they all do an equal part [IE: The 360's Cores all handle Physics, AI, and anything else.]

It works just like a PC's processor. Because, pretty much, it is.

They are both IBM power-pc cells, i do believe.

The Xbox 360 processor is, the Cell, however, is not. It's it's own beast. [Again, that's why they say it's hard to develop for. It's an entirely new processor.]

The only similarities is that IBM has something to do with both.
