Soldering skills needed for this are close to none, it has a soft board that after placing in the right place you're ready to go.

When and if JFW is released, many people will be disappointed and most probably will be asking for more.

Btw, are you serious? $30 dollars?...if you knew all the work it is required to make this hardware mod, the time, the research, the money they had to invest, man Im really tired of people disrespecting devs.

I wish everyone working on the PS3 scene stopped doing all their contributions, and see what all these bunch of disrespectful people will do. Its not like the devs have an Obligation to release anything. If they wanted they could just keep their stuff private.

The less we can do at this moment for those good devs out there that share their stuff "in their own different ways", free and not free is to show some respect.

If you cannot pay the price then go work and make some more money, because if you want a Dodge Viper SRT 2011 and you want it for $30,000 you're not gonna get it, unless you steal it.

I believe E3 guys are doing a great job and the price they are offering their work is OK.

So we are not forced to do anything at all, we do things for passion, some of those things can be distributed for free, but others cannot and unless we are the president of the United States we cannot do all these fancy hardware mods for free and just give em like if this was Christmas.

Yeah ,i dont know why people are concerned about this ..This has to be one of the mose easiest sodering .for a noob that i ever seen ?
I don't really solder much anymore ,but this would be a piece of cake & if i did not have 3 ps3s . I would buy this in a heart beat ! Even if it was $100 + I don't think it will matter if Sony changes the keys. I am sure this can do higher firmwares ,eventually. Just wait it out & see what happens. At least you can play 370 games & have CFW 355 = 1 ps3. I think that is a good deal

Come on guys this talk has been talked about 4ever . Example ,do you think we can ever have a duel boot on the ps3 to boot both OFW & CFW = Now you can = Grow some ba11$ & do yourself the favor ..U just need to take your time & don't rush it ! Patience is your key = Learn something.
If you cant solder ,test your soldering skills on a broken PC motherboard or a broke receiver , ETC ! This is not that technical & looks pritty sweet how they have designed it ..Real nice piece of work here .No messy spider wires all over the place = Very clean .This as is good as it gets for now & if i had only 1 ps3 , i snatch that $h1t !

I was so gonna get this, but the amount of confusion in the written english from these people is incredible - Im not gonna buy anything from someone who cant even type clear english on a international product they are trying to sell!? - and they did point out before that on slims it would be no-solder ... Which its clearly not - softboard or not... Promises broken and it all just seems abit... eeeh - Definetly a nogo for me now :-(

I respect the devs and wanted to pay 100 euro's for this.
Just when they mentioned Soldering i though wtf they first said that they not will require soldering on slim consoles.
So yea i think it is definitely more worth then 30 dollars .
But i'm not gonna solder unless the price drops to 30 euro-30 dollars.
and as they never will do that before someone releases something much better the software way(JFW-DH said that they will maybe add Dual boot software based).
so just waiting for a 3.70 CFW(everything is crack able and whe are a bit further then whe were before CFW 3.41/3.55)

They say soldering is only required for phat consoles, slim consoles are solderless. And if they sell the dongle only for $55 for those who are on slims then I guess the prices isnt too bad.

So if we are not going to solder the slim consoles, then how in the world are we going to install this? Does this not serve as another NOR/NAND? Because if it does, then obviously it will require soldering.

Well we will just have to wait until someone buys it and sees how to install it properly. The confusion comes from the bad translation job that has been done. If you need it and have the money buy it, if it ends up you do need to solder on slims but you do not have the confidence to do it yourself, you can be sure these things will sell out quickly and so you can sell it on for profit if needs be.

Everything is speculation atm until someone trustworthy can review this thing properly. Until then we can argue all we want.

loved/loving idea of getting round 3.7 with this tool,,, was ready to spend on it too just because i'm a downlaod it dave type of person... (15 years without cinema, 15 year + without buying any music , 10 year + for my every day progs & if it goes on disk i spend money to buy blanks)

i think this gadget is as good as its gonna get... me/myself & I are gonna get a second console as $ony are bringing out some update to kill this,,, i have 2tb of hard earned downloads that need keeping safe from them $ony muffa fluckin pirates...


so new console & buying latest games to keep me online is the cheaper option for now....2 game = 90gbp & 1 console 180gbp = fluck me 270gbp or say 250gb

AGAINST 1 fully loaded ps3 with 132 playable games with movies & tunes....

Ive looked at that pdf and im guessing you just need to solder where the holes are on the softboard in the order it says the put some electrical tape over it and your good to go.

ive never soldered anything more expensive than a small pcb in college but it looks simple enough.
