no you will need your dump first. That is your ofw. The ofw that came with the pack is just if you want to refalsh back to stock and you lost your original dump. What you need in that firmware folder in jungleflasher is your dump and the corresponding LT firmware. That is it.

So should i ignore what the tutorial says about the bin files in the firmware folder? And does it say how to do get my dump in the tutorial?

What I told you is what they mean by the .bin files. Your dump will be a .bin file and the LT will be a .bin file. Those are the only 2 bin files you need in that folder.

so how exactly do i find my dump for the benq drive? is it by jungle flasher?

i see that i have to connect my benq drive via sata to my pc, click the mtkflash32 tab, click benq unlock once the port is verified which should run the drive in vendor mode, then read the drives firmware and running log, and then save it. once saved it asks to auto-load ixtreme for benq drives .. i click yes (but only put the corresponding bin file in the firmware folder which is LTplus-benq-v1.91.bin , correct?) and then backup my hacked firmware, save the target buffer, and write the firmware to the drive. is that all correct?

i think i'll actually understand all of this much better once i actually try and do it for myself. i'm just asking all of these questions because i'm paranoid and don't want to ruin my xbox. i think for the most part i understand how to do this. if i don't .. then that's when i come here lol .. wish me luck!

so let me get this straight, if i get a slim 360, i will have to disassemble the console everytime i want to upgrade to the latest c4eva firmware. But for playing backups, i just need my pc and the abgx360 software??

I noticed in the picture of the abgx screen you were not checking split vid!

this was not mentioned by anyone that i noticed and is very important!
On the release of LT (the very first LT) C4eva specifically mentioned how important SSv2 checks and Splitvid checks were! Im not sure if this is still this case with 1.91 but i have not changed my settings in abgx and i have never beened banned of flagged for it!

i follow two main rules
1. Green on abgx (it wont go green till its official release in stores)
2. NEVER EVER DO SYSTEM UPDATES WITH FLASHED DRIVE! (flash back to stock then update once new firmware is released!)

The longest me and my customers ever had to wait was the switch from ixtreme 1.61 to LT (depending on what drive you had)

Thanks for your concern. I appreciate that. I don't even see anything for splitvid on that verification picture but I made sure everything was all green and everything was. I've been running that backup for a while now and everything has been smooth sailing. I changed the settings to what a bunch of tutorials said to change them to and they all said the same thing so I think I'm safe as far as verification goes. I never thought to flash back to the stock older firmware before updating to the new one. That's a good idea. I should find a tutorial for that for the future.

Can xbox slims be flashed? I read through a few pages on this thread and from what I read I need to connect my xbox dvd drive to my PC motherboard via Sata?

I go here www.jungleflasher.net to get all the files and tutorial on how to do it?
I'm not sure how new this xbox slim is I traded it with someone today can all slims be flashed? Thanks

Oh and the kid I got the 360 from said it was on the lasted Dash is that OK?

in your thread we told you that the slim drives ether need a new pcb or chip if you are good with soldering, you can also drill the chip to unlock it as all slim drives are write protected, the fat 360s are the easiest to flash

also the 360keys and devices like it are not live safe
