I'm waiting for Sony to wake up and realize OtherOS was bigger than they thought but the more they do this stuff the more I doubt it'll ever happen...

So this is currently the US TOS then? Cannot wait to see the EU one, if it's the same it clearly violates consumers rights and technically would never be allowed through. But I hear money in the right pockets gets things signed.

Think it's time someone spread this TOS and point out by signing it you will no longer own your PS3, though we tried to point that out to sony fanboys a few months ago, and they were more then eager to sign away their rights for another fix on psn.

Lol, I have an idea, get people to buy a new PS3, sorry I mean obtain a license to play on a PS3; then every month phone sony, say the console is busted (I'm sure someone will find a way to do it without leaving evidence) and then demand they replace it with a new one and renew the warranty on the new PS3. Repeat until Sony go bankrupt.
As Sony are noe techincally leasing consoles out, it is then therefore their responsibility to replace faulty hardware during the lease period. To not do so would be a breach of contract and license.

I just skimmed through that pdf, and I jsut cannot believe it, they've really have tried to get it so that everything related to Playstation et al are all licensed and not owned by the customer! Has the New York Times done an article on this yet? If not let a journalist know cos this is just insane!

Wow, that's unbelievable.

As I mentioned before, in the past month I was pondering on buying a second PS3 or not. Finally, a decision was made and I was supposed to go get the new one tomorrow after work. As much as I hated giving more money to Sony, I wanted to play the new titles along with PSN access but since Sony obviously expects that besides giving them my money I'm supposed to bend over and let them "do their thing" (and even yell "yeah, that's it!" while they do it), there's no way I'm getting another PS3 or any Sony product. Not tomorrow and not ever. I'm glad I saw this on time. Спасибо, Григорий.

I suppose I'll switch to Xbox because most titles that I'm interested in are multiplatform. Although I should have a look at their TOS too before I make a decision.

I got an email lastnight from sony saying that they will be changing it today, As of right now if i try to sign in to psn i have to agree to the new TOS. I'm posting from US... I refuse to agree to this.

It will not be legally binding if they are underage.
