PS2 games on a BC PS3 help?
Hey Guys, This is an odd one maybe.. So i have a launch JAP ps3, that is BC. BUT, all the Ps2 Games i have are PAL (live in Australia),
and so they don't launch on the console (Ps2 disk is wrong region or something like that is what the Ps3 says). I currently am running CFW 3.55 (No Dongles), is there a way to boot these disks? my ps2 recently totally died so i got a hold of this ps3... but still no dice |

Hello Francis87!
Sadly, there is NO WAY to boot your games the way you want. Because, ALL PS2 games are region coded, not like PS3 games. That means, you can play back only japanese ps2 games on your console. And as persian mentioned, Cobra dongle would solve your current problem. You would be able to play stuff you have got.... have a good day. |

CFW rebug allows to change the console region, but I don't know if it really do it.
I tried it, and i noticed that when you choose the "satandard" SD resolution if your console is set to Pal (Europe) video works at 50hz,, if your console is set to NTSC (america) it works at 60 HZ, so try it, maybe'll works to set ps2 game region as well. |
