Hi, I've purchased a second hand PS3 Slim and I don't know which fw came with the console out of the box. How can I check this? Thanks.

best bet is to check the manufacture date and look at here to compare against the fw release date.

it wont be 100% but would give you the highest possible fw version from new

yes did you use the pup? there would be no need to downgrade that far anyway.

no problem. you will need a hardware flasher to downgrade tho.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on the new E3 Flasher. The no solder option makes it very compelling.

Speak for yourself...I am half tempted to solder a Teensy 2.0++ into my OFW system just for the fun of it; I just don't want to waste one of my precious Teensy 2.0++ boards when I probably wouldn't downgrade that system anyway.
