Cover art...does it/will it exist?

I've given Windows Media Centre the flick and now use my PS3 as my 'media centre'...mostly for videos. So essentially, my PC only hosts file shares. This is good, however, when my 4 year old wants to watch some rips, I used to be able to browse Media Centre and he'd tell me which rip/dvd he wanted to watch, just by looking at the cover art.

Multiman or showtime don't seem to give me that feature, and I can't really expect my little man to read through (nor do I want to dictate to him) what dvd's are available to watch. My rips are organised by \\share\Movie ABC\Movie ABC.avi

Is there/will there be any support in either MultiMan or Showtime for Cover Art?

Cheers

Im looking for the same thing. I use WMP streaming to Showtime and have all my mp3s organised into albums which show a silver cd icon with the album name but no artist in showtime. After clicking on the album, it then shows the album art on the RHS window. Is there a way to make the album art show up in place of the disc icons? This would also be handy with movies as the OP sugested. Apart from that I think Showtime is awesome.

You guys really should give PS3 Media Server a go, in my opinion it is far superior to WMP.

Im playing around with both at the moment, but album organisation in ps3media server seems worse the way I have it set up. I was going to use ps3media server only but wmp with showtime seems closer to what Im looking for as far as streaming my music goes.
Is it possible to turn transcoding on the fly off in ps3mediaserver so I can stream .mkv files to showtime and play them that way?

As a matter of fact, the author of Showtime just recently posted on his forums that he will start looking into adding cover art support.

No idea what kind of ETA or release date, but I take it as good news. It's something I've wanted since forever!

Here's the source, btw: https://www.lonelycoder.com/redmine/...15/topics/1310

There is Cover Support for Vids within Multiman...

Make a "VIDEO" folder (caps) root of drive ..
All you need is the cover art in same folder as vids.. with the art having the same exact name as the.. example movename.avi , moviename.png /.jpg
I forgot the exact sizes, look in MM forum for that its posted some place
