Just bought a new ps3 slim 3.65 firmware,no usb downgrade possible i undestand that,don1t want to do an E Flasher or hardware downgrade cause i dont wanna lose my warranty,How much time till 3.6+ fw will be jailbroken?I have 10 days to take the ps3 back and get my money back .If the time till it`s jailbreakable about 1 month it`s ok,if more then no..pls respond asap tx

i would take it back and get your money back. then go to a game store or a pawn shop and ask to see what firmware the ps3 is on before you buy it.

Pls excuse my noobish question, but I've searched around and found no answer, so...

I'm currently stuck with a 3.60 slim PS3, and I can't downgrade unless I use some hardware flasher (Progskeet & Co.), I get that.

My doubt is: when finally someone is gonna crack the 3.60 keys and make a 3.60+ CFW, will I be able to downgrade or to switch to that new CFW without any hardware mod, or a flasher will still be required 'cause 3.60 doesn't allow downgrade and never will?

In other words, I'd rather not mess around with my PS3 and invalidate the warranty, so I'd prefer a software-only mod... Is there any meaning in waiting for a 3.60+ CFW, or I won't be able to downgrade/switch to any new CFW anyway even when new keys are cracked 'cause my 3.60 PS3 is definitely locked without Progskeet or E3 Flasher?

if and when a cfw 3.6+ comes out you will have to be on 3.55 or below to install it

So if I have a pre-3.55 PS3 I'm ****ed up, unless I get some hardware flasher?
What if they ever release a CFW 3.70+? Couldn't I upgrade to that one? Or the downgrade is not the only option blocked, but upgrade too? How does it work?

yje reason i say you have to be on 3.55 to be able to install cfw 3.56+ is because we never find the keys to sign stuff for 3.56+ the only place them keys are is in sont office . the that are in the ps3 are the root keys which are mother of all keys but the root keys are per console so u have to be on cfw to be able to get them once some one finds where they are . also if we find the keys to decpted 3.56+ we will be able to sign them with the 3.55 keys we got . but you have to be on 3.55 or below because them keys are blocked on 3.56+

but if the 3.56+ keys go leaked from sony office then ppl on 3.56+ will be able to install cfw 3.56+ with out going on to 3.55
