thats what i thought as it seemed to try make them seem beter, i think its balls as ive used cd-rw to watch dvds for years, 2 and half from ive had me ps3 as my da gets copies every week or so. so i use them all the time and havent broke a lens yet (touch wood lol) cant wait to see this new cfw they have whitch i think will be a long time comeing, delayed for god knows how long lol
sounds like what a D***head, full of ****, im not understanding why useing cd-rw to play ps1 games would be different from dvds on cd-rw. would do the same damage to the lens and ive been useing them to watch dvds for 2 and half years. jeliously never got anybody anywere ni did it lol i think i might even avoid his new cfw and just wait to see if anyone gets anything useful from it to add to theres and use theres then lol. ok last post about it its just i dont search the forums just front pages as there seems to be alot of agrues and disagrements on all threads lol Last edited by GregoryRasputin; 09-29-2011 at 06:46 PM. |

Delete options.ini/options_default.ini which you have on your USB HDD (and if it doesn't help, delete options.ini from multiMAN's usrdir folder).

Yikes, I've been burning them to CD-RW's and they've been running fine so far. Is there a specific reason we shouldn't use them or were they assumed to be incompatible because most psone's back in the day couldn't read that type of media?

Hey guys thank you for the great work you're doing! I have a problem, a big problem with my ps1 pal CDs.. the framerate(25fps in PAL and 30 in NTSC) in the emulator is the same as NTSC, so my games go faster, videos go faster when audio goes normally... any idea?? thank you

About the lens being damaged by using CDR's... I have been hearing that kind of stuff since the Dreamcast, and my Dreamcast is still working perfectly fine to this very day. My PS2 still works fine.
The weird thing about a digital system is that the laser puts out the same amount of energy no matter what the disk reflects it back to the lens the system reads it. The laser cannot put out enough energy to damage the lens. So the only issue you may run into is that your back ups one day will stop working due to age not due to the laser. nice one dean , i dont think the original sony screen is needed any-more with what you have achieved . well done . i got a cobra dongle the other day , pointless , the ps2 emu dont work what so ever on a slim , i knew it would be **** any way and backing up ps1 iso is dodgy only a few work , i would pledge for a deank MM 3.55 firmware , if you can do all the great things you have done, chuck a few bits of code into mfw and bobs your uncle . fair played though i know its not as easy as that or im sure coming from sofia, a city i love , you would know what bobs your uncle means . but given that keep on keeping on buddy you are doing a great job every-time you update, you make many people smile , and some people poo there pants . thanks mate
