Problem Solved:
Don't use cheat disks like Xploder or GameShark to cheat in games, they make your drive go nuts...
All my backups are burned @ 4x with either CloneCD or ImgBurn

No, not really, there is a cheat that allows you to jump real high, I wanted to do that because there is an unfinished area that I wanted to explore...

Then jump, save, quit, start normal...or use the original game disk to cheat.

Yes, Sony media is crap...their CDRs are (and have been) crap, their DVDs are crap, their Blurays are not even any good, and they were probably the biggest supporter of Bluray out of everyone. Even their flash drives and external HDDs are trash...Sony just can't do removable media (and the internal hard drives are made by someone else). A quality disk isn't going to make terrible noises just because it is spinning fast. My Verbatim CDRs burn at 52X and you can't hear anything except the hum of the drive motor.

Just tried a TDK disc and a Verbatim disk, both do the same thing when I use the cheat disk backup

It's because the image you use to burn has bad sectors, the person that ripped it wasnt aware how to rip correctly a disc, I had the same issues putting those disks on a PSOne and PS2. Even running those discs with ePSXe causes the same issue. You can't find easily correctly ripped disks, I'd say go buy the real disk, it would barelly cost anymore the same amount as a blank media...XD Same goes for PSOne games... I found FFVII and RE2 for 0.99€ each, also a pack of RE:DC+RE2+RE3+RE:Survivor with a Gun peripheral for 12,99€. Also I remember I saw a cheat disc (can't remember which brand though) that costed for 1.99€. My point is that it's not even worth doing the effort on buying different media to try countless isos which work best, go buy the real deal, it will cost you less!
