Another noob needs help with downgrading 3.70 to 3.55
Seems alot have these problems, and im yet another noob in this matter.
But i've been reading alot in these forums, and have come to the conclusion that i have to seek aid from someone more wiser in these matters. My problem is so far: I've recently aquired a ps3 fat that's been updated to 3.70 FW, and from what i can read, i must get either progskeet, or E3 flasher in order to get to 3.55 FW (is this correct?) If so, is it not possible to just format your hole HD, or does the software still boot up as 3.70? Last question. im searcing the different forums in order to look for what kind of memory my PS3 has, its a model CECHL04. Thx in advance |

The FW is not just on your HDD, part of it is on your PS3 mobo (NAND or NOR), so just formatting the HDD will not work I am afraid.
I think your version is 16MB NAND, but confirm that yourself
