“Almost Every Organization At Occupy Wall Street Is Explicity Communist Or Socialist"

[EDIT] I really am glad to have read everyone's opinion here and want to thank them for sharing. I understand and respect each and every one of you more for it. Also this community for having such good people with different beliefs. Thanks guys and gals for keeping it clean and real.
[END EDIT]

This article was taken from http://sayanythingblog.com. I found it to be a good read.

There have been efforts to paint the “Occupy” movement as something other than the cliched “dirty hippies demanding socialism” sort of protests. So National Review’s Kevin Williamson went looking for proof that it was true.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t find any.

I’ve been spending as much time as I can down at Occupy Wall Street, listening to the speeches, reading the literature, talking to the organizers. Here’s something to keep in mind: You’ll hear in a lot of the conservative media that this is some kind of socialist/communist enterprise piggybacking on a populist protest. In reality, it is much worse than even most of the conservative media is reporting.

Almost every organization present at OWS is explicitly communist or socialist. Almost every piece of literature being handed out is explicitly communist or socialist. I don’t mean half, and I don’t mean the overwhelming majority — I mean almost all of it. Yes, there are the usual union goons trying to figure out how to get OWS to do the bidding of the AFL-CIO and the Democratic party, and the usual smattering of New Age goo (the “Free Empathy” table) and po-mo Left wackiness (animal-rights nuts), the inevitable Let’s-Eradicate-Israel crowd (“Free Palestine, from the river to the sea!”). But, that being said, almost every organized enterprise and piece of printed material I have encountered has been socialist or communist. It’s been a long time since I saw anybody peddling books by Lenin. It’s been a long time since anybody told me the Ukrainians had it coming.

When the protesters were rallying to march to Times Square, out went the call: “Follow the red flag!” Which is what they did, literally and, I fear, figuratively.

Democrats are desperate to find something to save them heading into the 2012 election cycle, and increasingly it seems as though they think the OWS is it (much as the tea partiers helped Republicans in 2010). Even President Obama has tried to lend the protests an air of respectability and validity from the White House pulpit.

But that’s a mistake. The Democrats don’t want this movement tied around their necks. If Americans perceive the Democrats as the party of unemployed rent-seekers rioting in the streets for more entitlements it’s not going to bode well for them.

I wrote earlier today that I hope the OWS protests continue. If only because the best cure for this sort of nonsense is lots and lots of exposure. Let’s see these fools for what they are, and reject them based on that.

A fine response from Prairie Rose on a fact about what's happening at these protests.

Here's a quote from 1944 which I think you should all be interested in:

Norman Mattoon Thomas (Novenber 20, 1884 - December 19, 1968) was a leading American socialist, pacifist, and a six time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America. He said this in a 1944 speech: " The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism', they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without knowing how it happened. " Norman Thomas went on to say: " I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. THE DEMOCRAT PARTY HAS ADOPTED OUR PLATFORM."

What more do you need to know?
On another note. Who is holding the $300,000 that has been raised for Occupy Wall Street. Surely it's not the collective. Nope, it's being held in a bank by that 1%. I think they should pass out debit cards to the ones who have been down there day and night and let them have that money. I doubt seriously that's gonna happen.

If these people get the Socialism that they beg for it will be the last thing they can freely do. Remember Germany and that wall. What happened if you tried to get out? You were killed by the Socialist Government Elites. Same thing goes for all Socialist countries both past and present.

Feel free to move about the country. ONLY WHEN YOU ARE TOLD TO DO SO!
