I'm done buying from Sony...I know that the Xperia has android and that you can root it and there is no need for pointless Sony firmware updates or anything like that...but I still wouldn't buy one even if the tech specs were good (and they really aren't good...my sensation 4G is underclocked by over 300MHZ per core, and I still have a total of 500MHZ more than an Xperia overclocked to 1.9GHZ). I have already given Sony too many chances...and every time I give them a chance to gain my trust back they do everything in their power to make me regret giving them that chance. Right now the only thing I would even consider buying from Sony would be an old TVman...and that is only because they go for about $3 each and contain a ~$20 screen that I would remove and use elsewhere.

I have the SII and now that it's rooted I have enabled the add blocker and Tegra2 3D emulation with 16xMSAA . It was nice before, but now it's just awesome.

I wasn't disappointed with the hardware, it blows any other phone out of the water. And the comment get the Galaxy S if you have the choice between the two you would have serious issues not to get a dual core awesomeness that talks to you !! :P... As for the looks i have the iPhone 4 and wanted a new design to be excited about !

yeah iphone 4s is really disappointing i was expecting a tear drop body design large screen touch home button but its the same strategy as previous 3g to 3gs :/ oh well i m gonna stay with iphone 4 or change it with a good andriod SE phone

i love the os on the iphone, it has such a small footprint. yes the iphone does lack some support for things but it makes up for it in the places where others fail. just take a look at the touchscreen. before the iphone multitouch was almost impossible

As I did with the 3GS I'm gonna pass on this one too. I'm not getting a new phone unless it has LTE. It would be dumb to get stuck in a two year contract right as they US carriers are starting to deploy and build up their LTE networks. As far as specs go its a decent update over the iPhone 4. Pretty much what was expected (cpu and camera bump).

1. I wouldn't consider dual-core 1Ghz to be a slow
2. Sure flash support would be nice occasionally but not worth the trade offs. The world's not going to end because i cant watch a video.
3. What do you mean crappy screen? It has the highest resolution screen on the market, by far.
4. The price is on par with most good smartphones being released (SGS II, Droid Bionic, etc).
