Looks like Cobra won. Why isn't there any devs working on sniffing/reverse engineer this bad boy. Is it too tough?

Is the base Cobra CFW, the one you install before using the dongle, and which is active when not using it) would it harm my sytem in any way to install this update without then using the Dongle.
that i dont know. i installed the pkg on rebug as we speak. and i will mess about with it some. but im thinking that this also has to be tied to the dongle side or frimware side in some way. unless they just figured this out and released it.

Yeah, I'm not sure. Google didn't help much either, though I didn't look ultra hard I admit.

I would be interested in hearing anything you come up with.

Found that kinda funny.
NPDRM Eboot?
Is it the prophecy of 3.70+ support?

I may be wrong, but I believe the Cobra manager isn't signed, and the Cobra payload allows running actual unsigned code (unlike any other CFW). This is why the manager only runs with the dongle.

For some reason I thought Rebug could run unsigned code, guess I was mistaken.

I don't believe that's true. I believe rebug CAN run unsigned code. Kmeaw definitely can.

Quoted from the multiman thread.

Now the differences in 3.55:

3.55: GH: provides a way to install signed packages, period!
3.55: WNK/WTNG/KMEAW: enable SYSCALL6 + SYSCALL7 for peek+poke + signed (or not) PKG files

Well, best way to know would be to try running the Cobra manager on a 3.41 OFW console in jailbreak mode (with a dongle other than Cobra). I can't try myself (my only dongle is Cobra lol), so if anyone else feels like it...
