Ok so this is my idea I have no idea if this could work...
So you use this proxy on your ps3 and delete the game data (Let's just use modern warfare 2 as an example.) Then you start the game and it asks for the patch (update) and you select yes then it goes through the proxy and gets the data from the games server and replaces it with the hacked patch and installs it then allowing you to do challenge lobbys or be a noob online.

Thai you for listening feel free to add on or subtract from my statement. I would like to know if this is workable in some fashion.

no it would work the reason is because with the mod patch it will be made with 3,55 keys. so a ps3 on latest fw wont accept it . because them keys are blocked

Really? I didn't know that modified patches used the keys...

There are other ways of getting modded patches to work on latest firmware if you have a 2nd PS3 that's jailbroken. Very few people agree with having modded patches online (myself included, they're fun offline though!) so the chance of people improving the method is slim.
