After closer inspection, that looks like a terribly painful mod for anyone who isn't Japanese...there are high voltage parts directly below it, a hard disk below the high voltage parts (in a metal shell), and a fan below that...and even if those parts were moved, there is still a hard plastic backing less than 5 inches from the "lips".

Sounds like the perfect wife without the nagging

Not sure I'd go for the older fat ones though but each to their own I guess. they also tend to get loud when you get them heated up and as for looks, well let's be honest, they could have done with a facelift.
The slim ones are obviously younger and seem to be able to go longer when your enjoying a little hardcore action into the early hours of the morning and in all honesty you can turn them on easily without having to shove your finger round the back and find the right spot
