the air at back is normal. do u think is hardware problem? bcos sometimes i'm using the game normal, suddenly the picture will just start showing lines over the screen and hook.

One other thing tho...I had a screen that mimicked your problem exactly...the only difference being that once in a while, I would get snow instead of a black screen. It wasn't the PS3 at all...it was the screen. Sometimes it worked perfectly, other times it would be all black or all static, and there would be random horizontal green lines from time to time also. Turned out that the input board had cheap solder and the connections for the DVI and HDMI were both loose, plus one of the caps was held in place with hot glue and nothing else...Asus actually forgot to make those solder joints.

Also, I thought GLOD was also a solder crack issue, so he shouldn't get any display at all if it was that.

If you did a reflow and you changed the thermal compound above and below the RSX cover, make sure that the fan ramps itself up to higher speeds after a while. If it does this, but it does not rev to "top speed", then it is the RSX itself...and if this is the case, then there isn't anything you can do yourself.

If the fan speed does not increase by itself, then you know that your fan controller is shot. In this case, you will want to increase fan fan speed manually. You will also want to be sure that you have good contact between the RSX and the RSX heatsink (check the PDF). Once you are sure that the chip isn't overheating, if you still have problems, your RSX is shot.
