Hi , which is the best method to play games without bluray disc inserted ?
My play is out of warranty I would not ruin it (.....downloaded backups u.u )

You can only play certain games discless

If you game is on HDD and needs a disc to play.. i think its just to boot.. The disc wont be used beyond that point or am i wrong here?

You still need a disc to play some games

If you can read disks, then it isn't an issue...it isn't like you need the disk for the specific game you are playing or anything.

If you can't read disks, then you are more limited to what games you can play.

I think he means he doesn't want to wear out his blu ray drive because his ps3 is out of warranty. I'm not sure if the blu ray remains active after booting up the game. I'll check it out and see if the disc still spins after booting up. This thread makes me curious to know if there is any kind of maintenance you can do to the blu ray drive to make it last longer.
