I have always been paranoid of this happening to me and have thought about installing something like this in my system (I am sure after extensive searching I can find something smaller and more efficient):

Does not help your immediate situation, for that I would follow Japsander's advice, but something to consider for your current or next PS3. Has anyone here ever tried this or know someone who has?

Handy when in a s***y neighborhood or when around your best friend's fiendish buddy is passed out at your house. Hope everything works out.

Just mount a small sensor on the door that activates a media player loaded with the sound of a pump-action being ****ed...that won't keep the professionals away, but it will make the amateurs look for an easier mark. Also, mount a real shotgun and put on a second sensor that detects when the door is slightly more open...that will take care of the professionals.

Ha! I was confused at first why the pump-action was being ****ed. You forgot about the potential threats that were let into your house. For those, I suggest going to your local hardware store and purchasing a drain cleaner that has sulfuric acid as the main ingredient (ACE Hardware)...Then dump the contents in a bucket outside (cover your nose) and let it evaporate overnight. Collect the crystals into a small baggie labeled "Personal stash" and place it just under the PS3. They will never know what hit them.

If you do that, they won't die until they leave...better to leave it cut up and in a couple of lines so they snort the stuff right there.
