Not that i care to much It is almost funny to read this thread and IRC. I really don't understand everybody's hype about the new games and the madness if they can't play them. same goes for the JB2. Everything ends in drama if it comes to the latest games. I have enough to do on my 3.55 machine, not even time for the latest games. So calm down everybody, we are still talking about a game console and a game worth € 60,-. Think about the original developers of the game, they have reason to be mad now it can be run on CFW 3.55, not some anonymous claimed hacker...

Somebody wants to leak a Nintendo64 emulator because that is something I might join the drama about it

Now I don't know who modified/cracked the thing, and I think a lot of you are taking some rather strong positions based solely on hearsay... which is just so wrong.

I can understand most of the stances taken in this discussion. For one I can understand a dev not wanting to release sh*t just out of spite... because quite frankly as many times as you hear "thanks" what one whinny bastard says always seems to drown it out. I'm not saying that it is right to punish the many for the idiocies of the few, but I understand.

I can also understand not releasing something simply because it's not ready. Do any of you want to be responsible for 100's probably 1000's of ps3s going KAPUT!?

I've been seeing posts like that for far too long, be it consoles, cell phones, pdas, automotive mods, etc, etc The absolute truth is that when you give most people half the knowledge about something, than more often than not they will make a cataclysmic F*CKUP that will result in a rip on the fabric of space/time... ok maybe I'm exaggerating a wee bit, so I'm not saying half done hacks shouldn't be shared with others, but I understand (was tempted to say "shared with the community" but this is as far from community as you can get)

I don't have to go into detail about why people that want to feel special and not share info with others are just worthy of complete and utter disdain. That said, when little Jose didn't want to let me play with his GIJoe I simply said "Then f*ck you, and you're ubber rare T.A.R.G.A.T. GIJoe" If they don't want to share something than whatever, their choice and right; I'm not going to act like some needy baby that cries whenever he's not being spoonfed.

I'm as passionate about gaming as the next guy, but in the end it's just games... making such a huge fuss insulting one another over all this crap is wrong, retarded, embarrassing, petty and ridiculous, and we are all guilty of that.

The ps3 scene is stuck in a catch 22 as far as I'm concerned. In order for devs to freely release their findings, then users need to be more respectful and mature about things, but in order for users to behave in such a manner devs need to release stuff... in other words, We are F*CKED! There will always be the greedy/fame seeking ones that do things for the wrong reasons, I'm not that gullible, but for the most part I'm sure there's enough devs who would be willing to carry the scene forward.

Say whatever you want about me, but, who really cares about an eboot.bin? why are people *****ing so much? when that gcc toolchain got leaked, did the end user *****? nope, when the 3.60 sdk got leaked, did the end user *****? nope, cex-dex? not the end user, but I guarantee, that somebody got *****ed at because of all those leaks, but something the end user cares about, could use, they ***** like crazy. I'm not butthurt about the game, moogie, I'm really not. Here's something none of you will believe; I don't even have it :P I pirate games constantly, just as I buy them constantly, but I haven't pirated UC3. I don't have it downloaded which is why I couldn't help the REAL source behind this when they wanted me to test it. I haven't the time or inclination to download the game... and while I can't play it 100% on 3.55, I won't be buying it either (sorry Math)

You know me, you know I'm all FOR leaking stuff and not having it hidden by some fragged up overlord scabs. If people hoard information, tools, exploits, etc and have no intention of releasing -- then by all means, please; release it. Leak it. Give the world the finger.

But this is different and you damned well know it. You yourself said it was GOING TO BE RELEASED! So why couldn't you just wait? Why couldn't you let them continue work on it? Fix the journal bugs (just as they had ALREADY fixed the cutscene and subtitle bugs) before releasing it? You knew it was going to be released .. this is a sodding game, it's not DEX tools or 3.6x keys, all you had to do was be a stand up guy. Test it, like you were asked to, and then wait for it to be fine tuned and released. You didn't. Instead, for reasons I cannot fathom, you decided to take a moral stand against people doing us a FAVOUR, and you leaked it - claiming you were the source. Now look at all this drama bull****, all because you wanted a bit of eCred.

You commanded so much respect from people, myself included, and I honestly do agree with your leak stances ... but this? this was wrong and you know it. You abused the trust someone placed in you, you caused a ton of drama, and for nothing. All to get the extra few days and to say "LOL! I'm making a stand!" well I'm sorry buddy, you made it against the wrong people. You stood against someone who has done you no harm and has tried to do some good in this circle-controlled rubbish we call a scene. You picked the wrong target, buddy, and that's all I'm saying. Were all in this together.. It should be US V Sony not fighting among ourselfs. All were trying to do is get the best out of the machines we bought for crazy money.. All I want to do is boot from a hard drive and use the other OS feature that was originally installed. I spent hours today searching online for 64bit drivers for a laptop that I payed €1800 for... Sony released it with vista and an OEM graphics card and they haven't provided any support or released any driver updates since 2009..

I wish I had friends who had friends who knew a way to fix my games for 3.55, I'd never have to buy an X360 and order Dark Souls for it. I could still say an Xbox never entered my house and it never will and so the universe would still be in balance.

Anyway, if anybody can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. With MGS HD Collection and Skyrim coming out, I could sure use some eboots! And I can keep my mouth shut REAL GOOD.

I don't want to get involved with this by any means but I will say this...if there is 100% truth to an "elitist" group within the PS3 scene regarding knowing a hell of a few things that most scene contributers do not know and keeping it for themselves due to power and greed, then (although not totally surprised) I am very disappointed.

This is not what the scene is about, people have jumped down Team Cobra's throat due to the fact they are charging a premium for their features for our PS3s but at least they're sharing. If any of these claims are true then it's an absolute disgrace.

What had started out as a glorious day for the PS3 scene regarding this EBOOT fix for UC3 has exposed the dark and dirty side of it. For shame.
