Thumbs up To know HOW TO GET MISSING SPACE BACK IN UR HDD check this out...

I asked the same question like 3 months ago and after getting no answer and searching entire google database what i got is nothin so i found a solution myself.
OK so here is what u have to do.
1: Check how much space is left.
2: Than Delete what u want to remove and check again and space is still same as b4 deleting than go to mulitman.
3: In multiman go to Settings and let it load every file and movie untill it stops.
4: Click on clear game cache data and check the space again in multiman sometime u get ur space back there if not than follow me down.
5: Now go to filemanager and HDD0 and find temp/explore/xill.
6: In that folder u will find 3 more folders Music,TV,Video so just delete this 3 folders and every time u miss space just do the same.
Work for me ever time so GOODLUCK Guys.

10% of 1tb is 100gb ... put a smaller hdd and less would be used as default.. also deleting temp/explore/xill will not give you any more space there are only xml's and png's in those folders that amount to less than 100mb.

10% means 10%, whatever size hdd you use in a ps3 it will always take around 10% up, no matter what you delete or remove you will not get the space back.

Ok thats what I was hoping. As I mentioned in my topic about the missing space I had read about the PS3 using 12% as a swap file but I had only seen that in one location and could not get it verified. So thanks for the answer.
