Post i have a teeeeensy problem (pun totally intended)

Ok so here is the thing
1: My ps3 is bricked (thank you very f*cking much E3)
2: serial number CECH-2001A
3: Board type DYN-001

I need to fix it with a teensy++
Now I hear alot about the NOR chip running at 3.3v. And because my system is bricked it will power the NOR chip down after ~3 seconds. I also hear you can take control of the console before it does and you can unbrick it.

Question 1: Solder points for Teensy++ For my board (Found)

A=Green=Address
DQ=Blue=Data

A0<=>F0. DQ0<=>D0
A1<=>F1. DQ1<=>D1
A2<=>F2. DQ2<=>D2

A14<=>PA6. DQ14<=>C6
A15<=>PA7. DQ15<=>C7
A16<=>B0. #WE<=>E5
A17<=>B1. CE#<=>E0
A18<=>B2. RESET<=>E4
A19<=>B3. TRISTATE<=>E7
A20<=>B4. WP# Not Used
A21<=>B5. BYTE# Not Used
A22<=>B6. OE#<=>E1

RY/BY#<=>E6
VSS<=>GND

Question 2: will I be able to take control of the console before it shuts down?

I would have posted in the sticky but there are 26 pages of info and I only made it to 13th page.

Can anyone help me?! (I will be Googling (<--- that was in my auto correct?!)information in the mean time. Please help )

1) Correct.
2) Yes. Short and simple.

But the real question is: do you already have a correct dump of your console? If you don't, it might not be fixable...

:o the big Guy himself answers. Sweetness.

I have a dump. Its my only one. It has the correct byte count
So im just praying it works

Also can you further explain how to deal with the 3.3V problem? As long as I don't power the NOR from the teensy with the USB it will be fine correct? Also that diagram is making it powered from the NOR right? .

Please and thank you

You can verify your dump with norpatch.exe. It's included in the NORway distribution (check the first post of the NORway thread for a link).

Your console powers the NOR. Teensy is powered by USB (don't forget to order the 3.3V regulator). Your connect Teensy to USB and send a command to lock tristate. Then you power on your console, but it won't boot because of the locked tristate line. But it also won't power off by itself. So then console is powered, teensy is powered and you're ready to re-write your NOR.

And read NORway's README.txt. It's all in there..

Ok awesome. Ill take a look. So is the regulator on the board (fir the ++ version)

Problem. Everytime i open Norpatch.exe it auto closes.
Opened it right from CMD and it still autocloses. (I converted it to .txt and its says cannot run in DOS mode?)

You could just pull tristate to ground manually to stop the console from powering off, you will need to undo this once you have finished flashing.

I just want to be able to solder and close. So everything will be in a neat package. So no manual things

It's not included with teensy. You have to order it separately:

It's a cmdline tool. You have to open a command/dos window first. Click Start -> Run and enter "cmd". In the DOS window cd to the directory where norpatch resides (e.g. "cd c:\ps3") and enter "norpatch.exe" (don't rename it to .txt). A list of available commands is displayed.
