Getting involved in the SCENE - PS3Hax Network

There is always talk about the SCENE and there being a hierarchy of where leaks are taken from and put on sites such as demonoid and private trackers, but where are these places, like the IRC channels and the private forums, and how can people get involved in such sites?

Most scene releases are done via Newsgroups (Usenet), not torrent trackers. The "Scene" you seems to be talking about is the pirating one.

Well a lot of the cracking of files is done on both, Usenet though as you say, its private right? How do people find the well known releases and such on them?

Usenet is not private, but if your isp does not give you access to Newsgroups, you have to pay for the service.

newsgroups? that's more leaks not the source. What scene are we talking about the topsite piracy scene is not the same as the PS3 hacking scene. If you looking to do stuff like DUPLEX you need to get into the piracy scene, via hardware donation, software cracking skills. The console hacking scene you would need to have skills that groups require such as reverse engineering skills, coding and compiling and strong logical thinking, hardware donations. Hanging out in the proper IRC channels is a good place to start

The scene is a network of servers in which release groups hold and then release there uploads.
They are moved from the groupdir to topsites where they can be leaked out and uploaded to all the places we would access them.

To get involved in the scene, you have to be able to add something in to a release group, hope the release group is looking for member additions, and hope you find them.
