it might be an demo eboot but from what I hear from people they managed to beat the game so there should be some workaround to this.

dev-HDD1 is an empty directory - transferring supplied .sfo and Eboot leads only to error 800100009. Attempting to run the demo gives an 'expired' error.
Apart from that it's perfect.

extract the pkg with PSP PS3 PKG Decrypter Extractor v.1.0.0.0
and rename the extracted folder in NPEB90337 and copy it in dev_HDD01/games
and the rest is like the tutorial in the first post.

hi guys. i have managed to finally get sonic to load/run. now when i play the game and finish the first stage i come across a cut scene. once that has finished and i try to continue play i get a black screen with poor sonic continually falling. the only thing to do is quit. have tried several times only to get the same result.... what can i do..

I had the same issue actually. Just skip the movie and when you will appear in the white field - just carefully move only right till you will reach the entrance to GREEN HILL. Make sure the TO STAGE sign appears and only then press UP before the entrance to go into the stage. After that it should run fine. It seems it is a DEMO issue.
