im not a fan of piracy but i dont care if people do it just hate when people try to make up excuses for why they do it, also the attacks are bull they think tighter drm fixes things all it does is make people pirate as using the pirated copy ends up being easier then the copy they bought. more companies should do what valve does

Yeah...and I don't kill people; I just like to shoot my gun into crowds and let the bullets decide what happens next.

Don't give them any ideas!!!!!!!

Who ever said that you 'needed' these games? Nobody is forcing you to play any games at all. If you succub to subliminal advertising techniques then you just become a zombie of that company.

Why don't you get a job and pay for the games that you want to play rather than pirating? I don't see how because you have no money justifies your reason to pirate.

You are the man. Never lie about who you are... and never hide behind the internet because we will always find out your true colors. Yes I have a flashed drive and an IS324 and a Kreon and a newly arrived BenQ 0800 drive but did I pirate anything..... well we will let the jury decide but oh wait I didnt play a game 9 days early

not trying to be an ass just sick of seeing people say that just like the old im protecting my games line.

they also need to realize how much the used games industry actually helps them. i only buy games used once they are no longer sold new or if its a new series, hell if it wasnt for used games i would never have bought the first assassins creed which in turn i would not have bought the next three new, the same can be said for piracy as i know quite a few people who will buy games, movies, ect... that they have pirated if they like them if they dont they get rid of them.

end rant
I agree with you, but I also have to say this is a prime example of no lost sales. These people would not be able to afford the game in the first place, so a sale on them has not been lost. No amount of money would have made it to the publisher anyway.

Personally, I think it would be a very smart idea for companies to offer their older titles for nearly free when a sequel is coming; especially online-focused games. I bet they could have doubled MW3 sales if they had offered MW2 for $5 a couple weeks before the launch of MW3...it would have brought in a storm of new users, and everyone would rush to switch once all those little kids started playing.

OR even as a package (i can't think of any examples at the moment ). I remember back in the old PS1 days when there were 'secret codes and combinations' to play the demos of crash bandicoot and spyro on the disk. Moreover, the introduction of Blu-Ray (sorry xbox but u lose out once again) means that these 8GB games are only using up a small percentage of the maximum disk storage.

Such an introduction would bring up a world of new opportunity. I haven't played SR3 and i have no intention of buying it because i haven't played 1 and 2. I wouldn't want to risk wasting my money of a game that follows the sequel of two other games before it.

Now back to pirates, of course there are different priorities in ones life but if we allow people to pirate, then we will become a society who thinks its ok to 'steal' (as the dev's call it) what they like.

There is a fine line between pirating and stealing. We just need to stop moving that line.
