I think mine was with FFX, on the last scenes, when Tidus says while crying to his dad "I hate dad, I hate you" and then his father dies..... I remember crying a little in that one....

The MGS series will really kick your ass, you'll be crying like a child... Unless youre playing 2, its a good game but its too philosophical, I swear it took me a couple playthroughs to NOT come to the ending scratching my head saying "so.... What's going on?" Another one that kinda made me shed a tear or two was the ending of LA Noire, the ending sequence was sad IMO. Also Red Dead Redemption. Man I swear I had to hold back tears, you play the game with an overall goal in mind and at the end things still don't work out (that's not a spoiler, that's a teaser, I NEVER gave specific plot points)
Thing is, is video games are art wether people want to see it or not, look at SotC. Beautiful game, that game will also kick your ass at the end, and people like famed movie critic Ebert say otherwise.... Which is bull IMO. I wrote a persuasive essay on college on why video games can have emotional aspects to them and I got an A, so Ebert eat your heart out. |

Astrid of the Dark Brotherhood almost made me cry when I finished the Dark Brotherhood storyline in Skyrim. She is a very honorable woman in my opinion.
Other than that, I don't recall a time where a game actually made me cry. Maybe when I was a child playing Resident Evil 3 because I was so scared! |

Being a long time fan of the series and having grown up with Snake and the franchise from the very first Metal Gear...I just about shed a tear or two when I thought Snake was dead at the end of MGS4 when Sonny asks Otacon where Snake is and he replies while turning away so as not to show hes tearing : "Snake...has gone away".Lol...damn you Hideo Kojimaaaaa!
Other than that no tears . But video games definitely grab my emotions way more than any movie could ever.
