Basicly you could use your jig, since you only need to enter service mode.
But from what you can read in some E3 topics, i'd suggest you use a regular Dongle, since there were many bricks at this step.
If you decide to use your jig anyways, be 150% sure to have a non corrupted BIOS backup (check with the crappy E3 dump checker) and even if the checker tells you, that the dump is fine, do another one.

As long as you have a working dump of 3.73, you SHOULD be able to unbrick (check Pro.Hack's post).

Thank you for the quick reply. I have one more question: How do i unbrick? Do i put the 3.73 BIOS on sd card, turn on ps3, set the settings to recover, press start, and done?

Unfortunatly it's not that easy. U'll need to solder 1 wire from SBE to your mainboard. Check out E3 Website, they got a PDF tutorial on how to unbrick.

The main problem is, that after flashing "downgrade.bin", your PS3 is already in "kinda" 3.55 mode - so you could get problems while flashing back your 3.73 dump. But Pro.Hack figured out a method that seems to work like 95%

You can check the thread out here: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=30514

As a final word, i do not want you to buy a regular dongle or e3 card reader, as already said you should go fine with your pspjig aswell, BUT there were many bricks at the step you are, so just be aware.

Guess i'm kinda late here, but is there any difference what kind of wires I use to solder? (never really had the need to solder complicated stuff so i have no idea)

Does your dongle act like a USB flash drive? If so download "Enter and exit factory service mode file V1.2" from their website and place stuff from folder "step 1" onto your jailbreak. Step 2 to exit.

1: no you can use any cable you want. Mine was 0.75 i think. From an old internal computer speaker.

2: no it doesnt act like an usb flash. It doesnt show up in my computer unless i have the jailbreak dongle upgrade program running.
