mine is CECH2504B Datacode 1A
on ps3devwiki it says "sometimes"

1A 	januari, februari, march / 2011 	Sometimes 	3.56, 3.60 	3.55 or 3.56

I'm sure its an older model and later updated with 3.56
MinVerChk PUP tells me the minimum firmware is 3.50, downgrade should workout fine right?

Yes, it should most likely work If it doesn't and 3.56 is installed, there is always JFW DH.

and a ... i already updated to 3.73 , maibe should have waited to make 3.56 dump .. so JFW DH(3.56) is out of question now

the e3flasher should be here this week, fingers crossed it will work.

but let's say it fails(at the downgrade dongle) for some reason.. i'm screwed right? or can i use the 3.73 Bios/DUMP to restore it?!

MinVerCheck shows min install 3.50

asking the matter with the e3team, they not sure as its a RARE model it seems, they offer my money back

Just flash dump with JFW ros0/ros1.
Console does not boot (because of clean HDD) and ask 3.73 firmware.
When I put JFW-HD-3.56 firmware to USB://PS3/UPDATE - I have 8002f2c5 error.
How can I install JFW on my HDD? If I get my console in factory/service mode and install JFW-HD-3.56 from service mode - can I get out from service mode with 3.56-JFW? Can I get out from factory/service mode by flashing of my original 3.73 NOR dump?

Geez, I'm looking on their forum and there isn't any tutorial on how to install JFW DH with a flasher...

I got another (downgradable) console, installed 3.56 JFW on it and dump it`s NOR.
I Replaced "PC" blocks of this firmware with same blocks of mine undowngradable 3.56 console.
Then I flashed this dump to undowngradable console and put HDD with 3.56-JFW.
But console does not want to boot and asks 3.56 firmware. Why?

my advice on JFW DH:

i should have listen to all devs who said "bad idea".

my precious and new slim is now garbage because of rsod. i cannot remove it, no matter what i try. even a flasher is useless. i cannot return it to sony, because i did damage the psu and i modded the hdd bay with a hole...merry xmas and happy new year...

if i update through recovery the process goes about 37% and then finish.

they have patched the updater or the routine heavily so you cannot install any other fw no matter what fw it is. shortly before that permanent rsod i was also stuck in that situation. system corrupted and then it asked for 3.56 update, but i couldn't flash any other ofw.

The undowngradeable console asks for 3.56 in recovery now?
I suggest you try this. Install 3.56 OFW. After it's finished installing it will obviously brick, but you will have 3.56 OFW installed on the HDD.
Then try flashing NOR with JFW again. This will result in 3.56 OFW dev_flash installed on the HDD and JFW on the NOR. The console should be able to boot.

EDIT : Now that I think about it, the console might actually not brick after installing 3.56 OFW. 3.56+ syscon won't accept 3.55 or lower syscon patch, but it might accept 3.56 patch even if it's 3.73.
This is annoying, I can't find a tutorial on how to install JFW with flasher anywhere, and they don't seem to have a clue on the demonhades IRC :D

Now this console on 3.56 OFW.
When I give it 3.56 OFW - console installs it correctly.
When I give it 3.56 JFW (from XMB) - it starts update and after reboot I get error 8002F15E.
When I try update it to JFW with recovery mode - i get error 8002F2C5.

If I flash dump with JFW and try to boot with OFW HDD - it boots correctly.
If I flash dump with JFW and try to boot with JFW HDD (dump and HDD was made on same console) - it boots in recovery mode and asks 3.56 FW. If I give it 3.56 OFW - it installs firmware and boot OFW. If I give it 3.56 JFW - I get error 8002F2C5.

Any ideas why it does not boot JFW with JFW flash and JFW HDD?
