I had the same problem with dead usb ports. I found a solution that worked for myself. After I flashed the bios I than proceeded with e3_downgrade method; however when it came time to insert the usb stick containing PS3UPDAT.PUP/Lv2diag.self, I removed nor clip from the nor chip. Hey presto power restored to usb ports and everything went smooth from here. Worked for me, might work for you?

Haven't gotten any reported issues much lately, wondering if anyone just gave up of had the consoles revived and didn't tell anyone.

I am here often, so feel free to private email or post an issue. I'll check it periodically every day to reply best I can.

I'm working on a CFW for E3 Flasher for 3.41 and 3.55 so stay tune for that as well.

Hi, I'm trying the solder method to unbrick my ps3, but I can't find where is de PA0 point on my motherboard model (http://www.e3-tech.net/download/correct.jpg). I tried to ask e3 team, but they sent me a picture of a motherboard that didn't matched my model as well. Can anyone help me?

Ok, after a russian roulette and some tests I found the PA0 and done my soldering job. Now I'm getting 10001100 which is "Failed to initialize PS3 bios".

My brick happened when I tried to send the e3_downgrade.bin to the bios. The E3 gave me a error message but XMB kept working. After the shutdown I received the flashing red light.

Any ideas?

If your getting error 10001100 is because of the few following things, One, your Nor clip to the chip isn't correctly one. Second the clip on the ribbon connected to the TF board isn't correctly on. Third if your using SD Card make sure it was a firm connection and then try again. Repeat the process until you've flashed the e3_downgrade.bin without errors
