just a thought for people that gonna install the clip
wouldn't it be wise to put something between the clip and the shield like a piece of foam or something think most read problems and errors would be gone |

Hello.
I have read and tryed all your solutions but nothing seems to fix my problem. My problem starts when im flashing the e3_downgrade.bin. When i disconnect the power after sucessful flash without errors, and then power back on with power and eject (with a PS3KEY dongel connected that has the right files on it) My system just power on for about 2-3 sec then shuts it self off, and all off the lights goes out aswell. And i have tried to restore with my original 3.73 backup NOR (witch is error free, checked with NOR Dump Checker) but the problem remains, power on for a few seconds then powers off and power button light goes out. Any suggestions? Thank you. |

why the red light shuts off is a mistery to me the next step should be the actual downgrade to 3.55 did you try to use the usb stick with lv2diag.self and the ps3updat.pup files after you have put it in service mode with the ps3key? |

i agree, what i did was cut a few strips of duct tape the size of the clip...put them on the clip so that when the ps3 was put back together the tape pushed up against the case just a little and this prevented it from coming loose or anything

If you install the clip correctly all that shouldn't be necessary as it should be secure enough. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* [QUOTE=ElNormano;289841]Hello. Any suggestions? Thank you. Based on what you said you did few steps wrong, only suppose to turn off ps3 and unplug when you installed My Modified BKPPS3. Then install your own bios and leave ps3 on and change the E3 switches following by installing downgrade.bin. After you install your downgrade dongle and push power and eject method the ps3 suppose to shut off after few seconds, once it does that put lv2diag.self and 3.55 PS3UPDATE.PUP from step1 folder onto usb flash drive and plug it in 2nd usb and turn on ps3, in seconds the usb should have a light indicator that has activity then should be installing 3.55 CFW Last edited by Pro.Hack; 11-24-2011 at 01:21 PM. |

If you can't turn your PS3 on after that, follow Pro.Hack's guide again, tep by step.
