Hi everyone,

i've just sold my 40 GB PS3, it has now a 100 GB internal HDD, one 40 GB external HDD, 1 sixaxis controller, 2 wired (cheap pc) controllers, one 4-port USB Hub and 35 games (back ups, not on BD discs) for 580 BAM

(for 600 BAM you can buy here a new slim)

I found a 120 GB Slim with 3 original Blu-Ray games, 2 original Dualshock 3 controllers with 3.55 OFW on it for 550 BAM

I called the guy, and he will give sell it to me for 520 BAM because i am little far from him, and i will go tomorrow there to buy it, he says that it is almost new, he got it a few months ago NEW played a little and now he sells it, he also says that it has no scratches at all or anything bad and that it is in excellent condition.


So what do you think did i the right thing by selling my fat and buying now that slim ?

I would buy a new slim but i don't know which firmware it is on so i want to buy this .....

I wouldent do it.... just get one from quibids lol or ebay or something

if it was me id prefer the slim then the fat due to the fact it being newer and hopefully less chance of faults. its crazy tho how much people look for older slims even though a new one isnt much more to buy. people here in northern ireland are looking £200 give and take and ive searched online and found a brand new one for £160 from sanisburys and £189 from tescos, i dont understand why they look so much.. the only probelm with a new console is its more and likely going to be unhackable, so if your looking to downgrade that console then it suits you better then a new one, as a new one might not be able to downgrade.

I am in Bosnia, it's not that easy here, we have a big buy/sell website which the whole country uses for everything, so i found it there, but buying from e-bay, something that costs let's say 200$ would cost me in the end maybe 400, because this country is **** .....

LOL I would consider quibids a scam. And would advise people to stay away from it.

BAM is something other then $, 1 $ is about 1.4 BAM and you don't live here so you don't know what i am telling you, and if i buy it so i can not see it before buying, in my case i can.

BTW, like i know the Slim has a smaller failure rate then the PS3 fat and much less chance of getting YLOD or overheating issues, but on few places on the web i have read that the Slim has overheating problems more then the fat with newer games and that the slim has a cheaper Blu-Ray drive so it will die faster :S ?

Lol. i bought a 42 plasma fro about 200 and about 40$ in bids ..... 240$ is alot cheaper than the same model at wallmart for 899

ive had my slim from the day of lunch and i can tell you ive never had one probelm as of it, i watch loads of blu ray DVDs and play loads of games. it has never over heated once, although it might depend on the model of slim to be honest. my bro has had three fats and all went within 2 years at best.

ive had my phat for over 3 years now . never had a problem. i had a slim too . that one ylod on me after a year. got it fixed ( by Sony) and got a ylod again 3 months later.... i hate slims personally. ill stick with my phats
