That is correct good job, after the last part turn off ps3 also unplug it very important. Ready to be inserted with JB dongle following by Power and eject sequence and should turn it self off, then insert Usb drive with lv2.diag from folder 1 and I am sure you know what to do from there.

Once you done all that, need to put a 3.55 FW on usb drive as if you were downgrading the ps3. From there once unbricked you can just install recent FW or any of your choice from XMB menu or recovery

So review, pretty much after you successfully instal downgrade.bin with all 8 led flashed you just unplug ps3 following by inserting JB dongle etc..

Forgot to say one other thing, it is possible for you to unbrick without any of your own bios, assuming that the issue lies only in corruption of bios. Many are bricked for other cause and may result differently and all depends how you bricked in the first place. I was not looking for flaws in your guide. I am just trying to understand that you are saying I can unbrick a ps3 without a bios from that console.

It's kinda important info. I don't want to give others the wrong advice.

i know exactly how to downgrade, i also know how to fix certain dumps lol
hence the question what exactly have u modded.

also its not a jb dongle is it its a fsm dongle.

Sorry to have brought the issue up, I was just confused on how this would fix a bricked console. The explanation here clarified what I was curious about. Thanks for clearing this up, I think this is where most people were having trouble understanding what you meant. I got it now

LOL. Never heard it called that either. I thought it was a jailbreak dongle programed to a downgrade dongle.

Or in my case I use my PSP. Would that be a PSP dongle.

i have bricked my ps3, i downgraded from 4.0 to 3.55 using flash fun mode becose it`s not the original ps3, and after i downgraded, i tried to downgrad again using the pached bkpps3 and then the light goes of, when the light came the console starts and after 3 seconds turns of, and the red light blinks. i flashed your firmware with trisolde and the ps3 remains online, what should i do next? if i put the original 4.0 backup it gets back to total brick ( shuts down and red light blinks)? can anyone give me an idea how to solve this?
