like all other systems, this would be released freely, except for two reasons:

1. It is complicated. Game devs have said this, I believe the quote was "alien".
2. Sony will sue. They have before they wouldn't hesitate again.

That's why other system hacks are so freely distributed/worked on. I don't blame them for being afraid of Sony, they are monsters. Everyone likes to say they would release it, but really? Would you? Do you really want to risk your freedom and/or money to release a hack?

I would not. When the video game company doesn't do much but release patches and updates to bypass the hacks, there is no risk involved. I'm sure many people out there that work on hacks are clever enough to figure this stuff out.

Both of your points are redundant companies suing has never stopped people who hack and release things anonymously.

Its also not game devs we need. What we need are skilled reversers not devs. This scene is bull****. Recently the scene group known as paradox are even trying to make money out of piracy, which goes against everything the actual scene stands for.

This seems to be the only motivation of the people that can actually do anything with the PS3. The scene really has changed and the groups along with it.

I'm also sick of devs that seem to think they can actually do anything with the ps3 as we all know they can't. But whats more annoying are people like you who try to defend them.
