Hi.

I want to ask a question about your tut. Here is my situtation,

I used my e3 flasher one time to downgrade a ps3.

Now i have a second ps3. Can i use e3 flasher with second ps3 also with fast dual boot option? I think samsung.bin does not work for this. What is your suggestions? Thanks.

Yesterday I went and downgrade a Slim by just using the Samsung update with the same E3 method to downgrade NO FLASH FUN all went well.

I have purchased an E3 Flasher Limited Edition, but have yet to use it. I recently updated to OFW 4.11 so we could enjoy a few newer games we got for Christmas. I was running 3.55 CFW.

My history with this PS3 is that it came to me with 3.41 OFW. I bought the original PSJailbreak and have the update files for the usbkey to make it function as downgrade or normal jailbreak. I can still flash it to whatever function I want. I have the original DGF.rar which came from the PSJailbreak site before they disappeared after dongles were pretty much obsoleted.

Quick questions. I live in an area with horrible Internet. I haven't downloaded the downgrade pup/files from E3. I have the files listed above and also grabbed v3 of Rogero's CFW last month. Can I use the PSJailbreak files -- update.pup and the two lv2diag selfs? Or must I download the E3 version?

Help me please, I wanted flash the PS3 with the help of this guide, disassembled PS3 (an American, 4 USB, 20GB) and there is no flasher as a paste, look at the video, like inserting HDD. And probably downgrade should be done in the disassembled state. Can anything be done to flash it with the E3 flasher. Samsung chip. Motherboard, such as in this video, look for 44 minutes. Help please!

Keep getting to the part where I put in my dongle (ps3break) but the console refuses to turn off by itself, therefore not letting me go any further.
Any advice?

Had 4.11 on the console at time of commencing.

I've used the dongle to jailbreak before...and it worked (when ps3break first came out. 1 or 2 years ago?)

First I tried using the official e3 method--couldn't get past the same dongle part--then got desperate and bricked (YSOD) console by interrupting a flash midway (stupid me). Soldered..reflashed, and now back at the stage of trying to get dongle to work.

FYI, I autopatched with flowrebuilder. (as described in other guides, as the files in this one are currently NA)

Any typical errors that may cause this issue?
If worse come to worse, how can I get the console back to square 1...ie, how it was before I put in e3 flasher. At present it is stuck on "plug in a usb controller" screen.

Much appreciated.

Try and plug in your phone charger into a Usb port, to see if it is getting any power.

If it is not, you are having the same problem as here.

I am currently trying to find a way to fix this problem. I am going to try and use my e3 linker to solder, instead of using the clip. Hopefully this will work.

When I unplug the clip from the flasher I get power again to the USB. Then I can enter FSM with my jig. But then I get error when trying to install firmware.

Note - If your USB ports are receiving power, then it is a problem with your dongle. Need the correct update for downgrading, etc.
