hi there al well i got a question is it possible to jail break / downgrade-->jailbreak my ps3 from firmware 4.00?? without E3 flasher? just want to know and maby some help if its posible tyy Xeexz

There is no way to downgrade without a hardware flasher from OFW 4.00.
eg Progskeet, E3 Flasher, Teensy ++

Unless the E3 flasher is compatible with downgrading firmware 4.00 it would not be possible. And no, a software downgrade is not possible on anything above 3.55.
