@Pockets69 just wanted to let you know the post got posted twice...

A reform/refine of the method would be great, if I'm not asking for too much a small documentation of each aspect of the method would be wonderful.

Yes dumping ram using hardware is possible but the thing is that I am interested in is your method to dump lv0 once in ram using a kernel module, I very confused because of the fact of the use of the word kernel, as kernel resides on lv2. Please PsDev could you give mode info???

also anyone who wants to chat...im bored, IRC is dead most/some of the time so if anyone is interested catch me on Aim: manoman344
Just remember to mention your from PS3Hax.net

From a recent exicting thing i learned something. while study it i found out that the ram trys to get the encrypted master key when that fails they use a dummy key so my assumption is the dummy key can be used to verify alot of things

I may not understand this but, is that dummy key, "static" as in never changing? Or does it constantly change itself so the PS3 can use something to base it off of?

Sound very useful......have you a dump of the dummy key??? and another question if getting the master key fails why doesn't decryption fail but instead uses a dummy key, as the master key is local and the use of a dummy key is clearly a vulnerability.

thats because there isn't a 'dummy' key. you are right it would be a HUGE vulnerability.
