Before you say search google/threads, I already did and can't find a fix.
I've done the 3 beep reboot, tried getting to recovery mode, replaced harddrive, tried different tvs, etc. Here's the details Launch day ps3, still no YLOD surprisingly, using HDMI cable, no audio/video comes up, controller charges and syncs, i can turn the ps3 off using controller (memorized how the xmb looks like), Blu-ray drive works fine, inserts/ejects discs. Usb ports all work. Tried using same wires on another ps3 and that works fine. My only guess is that the video card or something might be messed up. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance. |

I actually don't have those on me....
IF it did work with that, is there a problem with the HDMI port? |

You own 5 PS3s and you don't have any of those RCA cables?
What about an optical audio cable? Write down the steps to select optical audio using your working system, then do it on the system with no audio or video and see if you get audio. If you do, and the same process doesn't work for HDMI audio, you can be reasonably sure that the HDMI port is bunk. |

turn on your ps3 and see if the hdd indicator blinks more than once should have quite a bit of activity (light blinking) if so its probably your cable if not then could be your rsx chip
