Ok so let me get this straight.

You want to go from Kmeaw 3.55 (w/ 3.70 spoofer v2.0) to Rebug 3.55.2. So you installed OFW 3.55 from recovery mode and during installation, a message saying "The data is corrupted" interrupts the installation.

OK. Now i have that covered, did the message which interrupted come up during the stage where it copies it to the hard drive or flashes the PS3?

What does the PS3 say when you try and install another firmware package?

You may have to reflash using an E3 flasher (or something similar) so that the firmware is correctly installed.

You could try rebuilding the database, restoring the file system or restoring the PS3 system through the PS3 recovery menu.

You can do this by

1. Turning off your PS3 so you see that glowing red light.

2. Press and hold the PS3 power button until it turns on then off (green light then red light) and release.

3. Now turn it on again but this time press and hold the power button and you will hear. 1 Beep …. 1 Beep ….. then 2 quick beeps. RELEASE NOW!!!!!!!!! If you release it to late it will just turn off again. Return to step 2 if this happens.
steps edited from here

So rebuilding the database AND restoring the filesystem AND restoring the PS3 did not fix the problem?

In that case you have a bad flash need to buy a 3rd party NAND/NOR flasher depending on the model of your PS3. I suggest asking one of the more knowledgeable hackers on this forum before investing in fixing it.
