Hello,

I have very strange problem wile tempting to flash Samsung NOR chip.
I am using Progskeet and WinSkeet40000 flashing program.

I read the NOR with no problem. But when I try to write it it gave error when Verifing sectors from 2048 to 3438 :

It give me the same error even if I try to erase some of this sectors. So I assume the are in read only status.

When I write the original NOR there is no error and the console work. But I assume the program cant write it again and the sector are not tauched and they are with the original information, thats why there is no error.

I try many times. What ever I try the same sectors are with error.

I check the chip and tes it with multimeter every thing seems to be correct. But if there is nothing els to try will resolder and solder it again.


I have flash SAMSUNG NOR befor, some times I get error but in different sectors and with some attempts all is ok. But this one is different I just cant write on this same sectors what ever I try.

The console is CECH-2004A with data code 9B. I receive it with version 3.66.

Any ideas?

i thought you couldnt downgrade below the firmware the system came on?

The data code is 9B, as far as I know this consoles are manufactured befor 3.56 or higher to be available. So I assume it is updated later.

Any way there is no reason that I couln't write the NOR. Even if the console is manufactured 3.66 I should write it with no problem.

My problem is very different and I relay have no logical explanation or any solution. I hop some one can help.
