Any device that allows read/write access to the nand/nor can be used to downgrade. If you own a ps3 with nor flash and only have one internal hdd it will be formatted during the downgrade and or upgrade process.

ofcourse you can play any game
you use 3.55 for the games that are compatible
and you can swap with a 2nd hdd and use 4.0 to play the latest games
that you bought


4.0/3.55 downgrade confirmed worked like a charm

depend of the model and if it came with 3.55 stock

3.55 or lower it's possible any higher version not
