Ps3 Slim turns on...turns off
I think i posted this in the right area.
My PS3 just one day shut off on me. So i unplugged it then turned it on and the instantly turns off with NO beeps or lights flashing. So I searched and found that changing the power supply might be the problem. so i opened it up and tried it...still does the same thing. turns on then off with no beeps or flashing lights. ANY help is greatly appreciated Thanks guys! BTW I am tech savvy so whatever needs to be doen I might be able to do it...THANKS! |

It sounds like a short circuit...are all the cables in good shape?

that's is what i was thinking. something power related. Im pretty sure all wires are good and all connectors have a pretty good connection. But ill check through it again.

Make sure to look close to the connectors...those JST connectors are generally good, but the wires are so close that shorts can happen very easily right by the connections. You can also try powering up without a hard drive, bluray drive, and fan...just to see if there is an internal problem in one of these parts.

It still sounds like you have a short somewhere. Have you already tried removing the board? I know I once had a short when a spider built a nest under a board.
